Back To School Escape Room (Middle School)

Description

This Back to School Escape Room for middle school students uses math vocabulary, contains puzzle pieces, has fun logic questions and of course has math problems to help students ease back into the routine of math class again. Students will have to complete 7 tasks that will lead to getting a 3 or 4 digit numeric code.

This is a great activity for back to school after any school break.

Task Descriptions:

• Task A: Math Puzzle
• Task B: Crossword Puzzle with math vocabulary
• Task C: Pattern Recognition & Logic
• Task D: Pyramid with Math Operations – Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication & Division (no negatives)
• Task E: Order of Operations (no exponents)
• Task F: Operations on with whole numbers, fractions & decimals
• Task G: Unscrambling Math Vocabulary
• Final Code

All the tasks in the activity are independent of one another, with the exception of the final code task, so you can pick and choose which tasks to give your students or give them all the tasks (one at a time). The final code task requires the students to have completed the rest of the tasks in order to complete them.
